Jovita Harnum

I started playing French horn in 8th grade at Romulus Jr High (1984). I continued playing through high school. I went to Eastern Michigan University and graduated (1993) with a BS in Computer Aided Design. I was involved with the marching band and the concert band throughout my time at Eastern. Since I didn't own a horn, my playing time ended when I graduated. With luck, I was able to borrow a French horn from a friend whose horn was left in the back of a closet collecting dust. During the time that I was performing music gigs for churches, a friend told me about the Downriver Community Band. I joined the group in 1999 and have been with them ever since.
